Brookfield concert a roaring success

Pupils from the Western Wards took to a stage in Fareham to perform a wide range of music from film themes to jazz in the annual Spring Concert.

The concert by the 150 Brookfield School pupils was a roaring success at Ferneham Hall and included pop music, traditional jazz pieces and some classical tunes.

It included most of the school’s ensembles, which were the concert band, jazz orchestra, trad jazz band, the orchestra, string ensemble, sax ensemble, brass and percussion ensembles combined, singers and a wind ensemble made up from the flute choir, clarinet ensemble and double reed ensemble.

The annual concert has been a tradition for the school for 13 years. It used to be held at the school in Brook Lane but had to be moved to the Fareham venue because of an increase in audience numbers.
