Thousands of people brought Warsash to a standstill this weekend with the biennial Warsash Festival on Strawberry Field.

Huge crowds gathered from mid-day in the blazing sunshine by the side of the River Hamble for this hugely popular festival of arts, crafts and entertainment from local groups.

Warsash Band and the Brookfield Jazz Orchestra kept the music flowing throughout the day, while dog agility, dancers and sea cadets provided the entertainment.
And with a huge display of vintage and classic cars at the top of the field and more than 60 stalls all around the edge there was something for everyone to enjoy at this year’s event.
With not much shade available on the field there was plenty of need for drinks but an occasional breeze off the river took some of the heat off. However there will be a few people with sore arms and necks after being caught by the strong sun.
